Vijay's Thuppakki stopped!
The shooting was going on in Mumbai, but all of a sudden Murugadoss has annonced that the making of the movie will be continued only after the FEFSI issue is settled amicably.
This sudden announcement has sent shock waves across Kollywood and has angered Vijay' fans.
Danush to make his own music album
As the making of 3 is almost complete and Danush is gearing up for his next movie, he is working hard to come out with an album of his own.
The album is being made with video graphic background and for this photographer Velraj is working along with Danush.
Direcor Cheran and Vasanth in Kerala's jail
A special event was organised for inmates in Kerala's Trivandrum Central Prison, in which Cheran, Vasanth and actress Banu participated.
The speciality of this prison is that, inmates here make food items like chappathi and others and are sold to open market.
Cheran along with others tasted the food prepared in the prison.

Genelia married Rithesh
Both Genelia and Rithesh were in love for past few years.
They got married in a lavish event held at Mumbai with the blessings of both of their parents.
Though none of Kollywoodians were present in the wedding event, lot of bollywood stars participated in the north Indian style wedding ceremony.
Nayan seeking help of Ajith
Nayanthara did Boss Yengira Baskaran in Kollywood and was said that it is her last movie in Kollywood. Then she was in Telugu were she took up the role of Seethai.
Both the movies did well, but for the love with Prabhu Deva she decided to retire from acting. But things have changed a lot in less than 10 days time, and now Nayan is busy searching for opportunities in Kollywood.
Already she has signed up with Nagarjun in Telugu.
Vishnu Vardhan is making a movie having Ajith in the lead role. It is said that Nayan's manager is negotiating with Vishnu Vardhan to get her a slot in that movie.
Vijay at Coimbatore to thank his fans
As Nanban is doing a big biz in box office, as a thanks giving, Vijay offered presentation to an aged home.
He offered two laptops to two students. He also presented an award for the work done by the aged home organiser Radhakrishnan who is doing this service for past 20 years.
Speaking about Nanban, Vijay said "My friends in the movie Jeeva and Sreekanth, both are now my friends in real life too. I was eager to do a movie with Sathyaraj and this has happened true through Nanban."
Vijay went to cinema theaters that screen Nanban in Coimbatore and interated with his fans there.
Rajini does not know to write in Tamil
The Superstar Rajinikanth attended a literary event to felicitate popular writer S Ramakrishnan. The function was organized by Uyirmai Publications in honour of the writer for winning the most prestigious the Iyal Virudhu, Lifetime Literary Achievement Award from Tamil Literary garden of Toronto.
The actor speaking at the function said that he is afraid to make a speech in front of learned Tamil scholars as he is not fluent in the language and is paranoid that he will make pronunciation mistakes. The Superstar informed that he is does not know to write in Tamil despite learning to speak the language fluently.
It may be mentioned that S Ramakrishna was the script writer for Rajini’s film Baba and has also written the Superstars biography.
Chance to see more Rajini, Kamal, Vijay, Ajith films!
The Tamil Nadu Film Producers’ Association is considering allowing three more important occasions for the release of biggies. With a huge gap falling between the May Day and the Independence Day, there is a need to add to more festivals to release the biggies.
Considering this, the TFPA has decided to allow releases on Vinayaka Chathurthi, Vijaya Dasmi and Christmas. This would mean more big budget films every year that has big stars like Rajini, Kamal, Vijay, Ajith, Suriya and others!

Vijay’s Velayutham hits a century!
Vijay’s Velayutham has marched towards its 100th day successfully. The film was released on 26 October 2011 and had one of the grandest openings ever for Vijay. The film was directed by Jayam Raja and had Genelia and Hansika playing the female leads.Produced by Aascar Ravichandran, this film had music by Vijay Anthony. Velayutham was based on the Telugu flick Azad released several years ago but Jayam Raja had changed certain sequences to suit Vijay fans’ tastes.
Vikram in Sargunam’s story discussion
Sargunam’s next Kovaththai Konjugiraen will commence very soon. Vikram is to play the lead role in this film and the story discussion will happen during the end of February. Vikram will take part in this story discussion.There is a buzz that Kovaththai Konjugiraen is just the working title of the film and Sargunam may opt for a change.
Vikram is currently busy with AL Vijay’s directorial venture in which he is paired with Anushka and Amy Jackson. There is also a talk that Shankar and Vikram may join hands once again after this project.
Ganja Karuppu extends a helping hand
Ganja Karuppu and his wife Sangeetha were deeply saddened by the plight of the special children at an institution near Trichy. The couple agreed to sponsor 10 children and will shell out Rs. 30,000 every month to meet their expenses.The comedian has also requested his contemporaries and colleagues in the industry to extend their helping hands for the betterment of these special children. Ganja Karuppu is known for his philanthropic activities and has done several good deeds in the past. This is just one more addition to his list of social service activities!
Jayam Ravi confirms Samuthirakani’s film
Jayam Ravi has confirmed that he will soon star in a film to be directed by Samuthirakani. The actor said that he is busy wrapping by Aadhi Bhagwan directed by Ameer and will move on the Boologam next. After this project is completed, Jayam Ravi will hop on to the sets of the film that Samuthirakani is to wield the megaphone for. Vasan Ventures Productions will be producing this film, he added.It is only after completing the Samuthirakani film that Jayam Ravi and Jiiva will team up for the movie that SP Jananathan is to direct.

Ajith and Nayan to pair up?
If reports from Kollywood are to be believed, director Vishnuvardhan is planning to sign up Nayanthara for his Ajith starrer. The director is busy with the pre-production work of this untitled flick and is also on a hunting spree for a suitable heroine for Ajith.
He is keen on getting Nayan to play the lead role along with Ajith as it is now clear that she is looking to make a comeback. It may be mentioned here that there is news that Nayan’s relationship with Prabhu Deva has fizzled out and the actress wants to get back to her career.
Kamal Haasan meets Jayalalitha
Kamal Haasan went to the Scecretariat and met the Chief Minister, J Jayalalitha. He handed over a cheque for 15 lakhs which is his generous contribution for the Thane Relief Fund. The star wished to do his part to help those who were worst hit by the cyclone.
The actor is currently working on Viswaroopam and one schedule has been completed in the USA. Once the issues are resolved between FEFSI and TFPC, shooting will commence again.
AR Murugadoss praises Vijay
R Murugadoss watched Nanban recently and he can't stop raving about Vijay's performance which he said is absolutely rocking. He has been singing his hero's praises to all around him. The director and Vijay are currently working on Thuppaki. Murugadoss is very pleased with Vijay's work so far and he has promised fans that they are going to love Vijay in this role.
Kajal Agarwal is the heroine of this film. Shooting was proceeding smoothly but has been interrupted because of the strike that is gripping the Tamil film industry because of the conflict between FEFSI and TFPC. Once it ends, the team will get back to their shooting.
